Progress

Game Progress

Our game progress has been quite slow for the past few months. However, the speed has increased with the help of the wiki help desk. We had taken at least three days to get into touch with a user on the help desk but once we had our game was almost fixed immediately. We are hoping to use obstacle codes. Our problems consist of three major aspects.
  1. Type of flash
  2. Wall codes tutorials
  3. Glitches
The type of flash we used in our game needs to be changed in order for our code to work the right way. The wall codes are a problem only with the incorrect type of flash, but this is an easy change. Then last glitches, the glitches are the biggest problem. Once the game is fixed small glitches can occur such as, a newer button code that causes the button not to work, this is an easy fix but an annoying problem. However I am working with the help desk to fix this problem. Wish me luck!

Problems

Problems

The problem that I overcame while working on my game ingredients was the codes. I always have troubles with the codes either it is the wrong period at the wrong time or it is the wrong parenthesise turned the wrong way. Soon though I worked through this problem and had gotten to finish the game.

Present Hidden Objects

Present Hidden Objects

Big Idea:

I think that I was trying to present this game as "Acting Selflessly"
type of game because in the game the player must go through and find a lost cat that had wondered in to a expecting trash dump.

Research:

For this game i did not really have to do allot of research on this game because of the basic concept of selflessness.

Making Ideas:
At first my idea for the game was to create a disbelieving class room. But over time i had decided to use a lost cat because it applied to what i was trying to do the most.

Mastering Program:

The game ingredients i had used were click to hide object.

Overcoming Challlanges:
The most challanging part of the game was to trouble shoot.
I had kept forgetting to add stop codes so the game could work.

Paper Prototype

Paper Prototype

The paper prototype has made the game process easier because you can decide what you what the player to see and the game to all together look like before you even start making the game. With the paper prototype you can place all of the graphics were you would  like them to go that way you can put the game together the way you would like it and then foucus all on the codes and fix them the right way.

Mini Games

Mini Game

Going through the mini games steps was in some words difficult. But just as difficult as it was it was a good game to make because it was fun to go through again. The mini game gives students a good idea of what making a game is like, it also gives students a idea of what they want to add to their game.

Questions

1. Create a list of about 10 items that would fit your topic.

Chimical reaction
Acids and bases
Combustion
Science
Math
explosives

2. Describe your scene in 1 or 2 sentences.

I would describe our scene as colorful but at the same time not distractive.

3. List some decoy objects that will go in the background, where hidden objects can blend in.

Some of the anwseres to the problems that the player will encounter will be located in the background blening in with the background and colors.

Hidden objects game

Hidden Objects Game

We chose this topic for our game because we wanted something totally blown away from our game because what if the player wanted a break from the game it's self then they have it. It makes our game fun and educational.
